2016 campaign film

Worldwide the numbers of children displaced from their homes and schools due to emergencies is at an all time high. The 2016 Send My Friend to School campaign is calling on UK pupils to speak out for 37 million children who are missing out on school in countries affected by conflicts, natural disasters and other emergencies.

Please note: there are scenes in this film that may not be suitable for very young audiences.

This film contains footage of children in Syria leaving their school during an air raid practice and interviews with children directly affected by conflict and natural disaster. These sections of the film are at 1:00-1:45 and 1:58-2:30.

It may be more appropriate to introduce the issues to very young pupils in your school through our Assembly PowerPoints and to then guide the discussion at a level appropriate to your pupils.
