Eilidh Naismith and Billy Davidson, from Glasgow, were our Global Education Young Ambassadors for 2012.
They travelled to Malawi to meet children in and out of school, and find out for themselves about what stops young people getting an education.
Throughout 2012 Eilidh and Billy helped to spread the word, speaking at teachers’ conferences, meeting government Minister Stephen O’Brien, and encouraging schools and youth groups to take part in Send My Friend to School’s ‘Go for Gold!’ activities.
Send My Friend to School brings together thousands of children across the UK to speak up for the right to education.
