School Students

Are you thinking of taking the Send My Friend challenge by running a 1GOAL event in your school?

This page offers some useful links and resources to help you organise a fantastic 1GOAL event and to help influence our leaders to keep their promises on Education For All.

Getting Started

  1. Check with a teacher that they are happy for the school to get involved in the campaign
  2. Sign up for a Schools pack or ask your teacher to do that for you
  3. Plan who you will need to involve – are you working with specific classes, a year group, or the whole school?
  4. Think about how to spread the word and get people involved – you might want to use a message given out by teachers at registration, an assembly, or posters around the school.
  5. Make copies of the supporter scarf template for everyone who will be taking part – photocopy it onto A4 paper.
  6. Check the Teachers Guide for instructions on what to do
  7. Organise a 1GOAL event in your school – check out our event page for ideas about what this might be
  8. You might like to involve a local footballer your local MP – they can help you to draw attention to this issue and get the government to take action on education.
  9. Send your school's supporter scarf to the Prime Minister with a letter from your school – don’t forget to include your school’s name and address so that you can receive a reply.
  10. Tell us how many 1GOAL supporters there are in your school by filling out the online Scoreboard.
