What's the score for education?

We've had a HUGE number of schools getting involved with 1GOAL. An amazing ONE MILLION young people in the UK took part!

But what do world leaders have to say about their promise to deliver education for all?

Click here to read our '1GOAL Round Up' report and to find out about the education summit in South Africa.

1GOAL for 2010!

The theme for 2010 is '1GOAL' to link in with the World Cup in South Africa.

Send My Friend activities were held during the World Cup, 11th June - 11th July.

If you would like to take part you can still register. Simply go to our order form and register your school's details. We'll provide a free pack with posters, a film and Teachers Guide.

What is 1GOAL all about?

World leaders have promised that all children will have a primary education by 2015 but with only 5 years left to go, there are still 72 million children missing out on an education completely.

Timeline

Find out about the history of our campaign by taking a look at the Send My Friend Timeline.

What do we need to do?

There are three simple steps to get involved:

  • Make a gigantic 1GOAL supporter scarf – you can make it out of paper using the templates in the Teachers Guide, or recruit a team of knitters to make a giant woolly supporter scarf!
  • Hold a 1GOAL event (or assembly) in your school – and use this chance to ask as many people as possible to show their support for 1GOAL and sign your school’s 1GOAL supporter scarf
  • Make it count! – by sending the scarf to the Prime Minister and adding the number of 1GOAL supporters in your school to our online Scoreboard
